    All Music Guide Review

    Korngold conducting the Warner Bros. Studio Orchestra. The sound is understandably compressed by modern standards, and there are more pleasing recent recordings. The performances are sharply focused and well shaped, but there isn't enough of each score here to satisfy most fans. A bigger sampling of each film score, and a third CD to fit it all onto, would've been better, but it is still valuable to here how the composer himself conducted his own work. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide
