The Best of the Bar-Kays is an adequete collection of the group's best tracks from the late '60s and early '70s, inlcuding the classic "Soul Finger" and "Shake Your Rump to the Funk." It isn't a perfect collection -- both the Stax and Mercury collections are stronger, more comprehensive compilations -- but for fans just wanting a handful of hits, it's a worthwhile purchase. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
