    All Music Guide Review

Mellow rock at its most easygoing and cheerful is the focus of this 16-track comp, with entries by Seals & Crofts, America, Steve Miller, the Doobie Brothers, and adult-contemporary forerunners like Pure Prairie League's "Amie," Pablo Cruise's "Love Will Find a Way," Player's "Baby Come Back," Orleans' "Still the One." The selections by Little Feat ("Dixie Chicken"), Dr. Hook, and Poco may be a bit unexpected, but aren't nearly radical enough to upset the even-tempered flow of the disc. The crumb tossed to pot-smokers, the Grateful Dead's "Uncle John's Band," is without doubt the CD's high-water mark. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
