    All Music Guide Review

Generations, Vol. 1: Punk Look at Human Rights is the first installment of a four-disc series that pays tribute to crusaders for human rights during the twentieth century. Comprised equally of unreleased and new tracks, the disc is somewhat uneven musically, especially since its definition of "punk" ranges from John Doe to Pennywise, but it's hard to fault its intentions. Among the highlights are cuts by Green Day, the Bad Brains and the Electric Dog House, a supergroup featuring Joe Strummer and Seggs. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
