Submit Your ReviewYou Are My Friend: The Ballads collects 13 ballads Patti LaBelle and LaBelle recorded during the '70s, including "You Turn Me On," "Find the Love," "Quiet Time," "Isn't It a Shame," and "Come What May." Although the album sounds as if it is a greatest-hits compilation, very few of these songs were hits, yet that doesn't detract from the disc's worth. It's designed for Patti LaBelle fans who want to dig a little deeper into her catalog without purchasing the actual albums, and they'll find several songs to cherish, even though the song selection is slightly uneven. ~ Leo Stanley, All Music Guide
