    Like its two predecessors, DCC's Groove On, Vol. 2 contains a selection of ten seductive or stylish soul, disco and urban-pop tunes from the '70s and early '80s. There's not much rhyme or reason behind the featured tunes, but there are no weak songs, either, thanks to such highlights as Brick's "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody," the Isley Brothers' "That Lady," Marvin Gaye's "Sanctified Lady," Rebbie Jackson's "Centipede," Ashford & Simpson's "It Seems to Hang On," Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes' "Wake Up Everybody" and the Three Degrees' "When Will I See You Again." Since there's nothing tying the songs together outside of their era, Groove On winds up being nothing more than a sampler.
