History of House Music, Vol. 2: New York Garage Style

Lyrics from History of House Music, Vol. 2: New York Garage Style
All Music Guide Review
Just as essential as its Chicago counterpart (and containing many more obscure tracks), New York Garage Style spotlights the smoother, more soulful Big Apple variant of house. The soul comes out with full flavor on "Don't Make Me Wait" by the (N.Y.C.) Peech Boys, "If You Should Need a Friend" by Blaze and "Set It Off" by Strafe. The disc also includes scarcities like the early Todd Terry club hit, Royal House's "Can You Party," and "Music Is the Answer" by Colonel Abrams. Similar to its predecessor in the fact that there's absolutely no filler, New York Garage Style also includes informative liner notes. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
