An incredible compilation of Chicago classics and rarer cuts usually unavailable, Chicago Classics could well be the best single-disc compilation of early house, kicking off with what could be the three most crucial Chicago house tracks period -- Marshall Jefferson's "Move Your Body," Farley Jackmaster Funk's "Love Can't Turn Around" and Steve "Silk" Hurley's "Jack Your Body." There are also quite a few more rarely anthologized tracks, including Hurley's "Music Is the Key," "Mystery of Love" by Fingers Inc., "Devotion" by Ten City and "Someday" by Ce Ce Rogers. Not one track fails to disappoint, and the liner notes are much more knowledgeable than could be expected for a compilation of early dance music. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
