A well-done collection originally recorded in the early ‘80s under the charge of Butch Ingram, who plays off of both of Mason's personas, the sweet & innocent and the mature woman. The Philadelphian's remake of Smokey Robinson's "The Agony and the Ecstasy" is worth the cost of the CD alone; when Mason sings the word "agony," you feel it in your bones. "Winter Love" features a recitation before blooming into a beautiful ballad. The Mason/Ingram composition "Don't I Ever Cross Your Mind" has it all: lyrics, hooks, vocals, accompaniments -- the works. She gloats for nearly eight minutes about being the outside woman on "She's Got the Papers (But I Got the Man)" and answers it with "Another Man." One worth seeking out. ~ Andrew Hamilton , All Music Guide
