    This volume explores disco from techno-electronic to classy, urban ballads. Carrie Lucas' "Dance With You," the Tramps' "Penquin at the Big Apple/Zing Went the Strings of My Heart," and Shalamar's "Uptown Festival" will require listeners to wax their hardwood floors after they scuff em' up dancing. Aquarian Dream, France Joli, and Lemon deliver a unique brand of European disco that has aged well. Gladys Knight & the Pips, Melba Moore, and Phyllis Hyman appear out-of-place on a collection that should have come with dance instructions, but their selections add balance.
