All Music Guide Review

The Sylvers, a rather large family of siblings originally from Memphis, TN, scored with bubble gum soul and disco flavored boogies. The most famous being "Boogie Fever," and club favorite "Hot Line." In the same vein, but not as well known, are "Cotton Candy," and "Free Style." The most delightful number here, is the free flowing "That's What Love Is Made Of." Only ten selections but a few are disco length. Enjoyable in spots, but after listening to this, you'll be yearning for some serious soul for balance. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
