Submit Your ReviewAn import compilation of obscure releases by American artists, ranging from the mundane to the brilliant. Two tracks by the Escorts, "I'll Be Sweeter Tomorrow," and "Look Over Your Shoulder," are sub-par O'Jays covers, but they redeem themselves on the falsett-led "Lets Make Love At Home Sometimes." Brilliance comes from Black Ivory and their shimmering "Will We Ever Come Together," possibly the New Yorkers' best single; Leroy Burgess crystal shattering lead will have you worrying about his wellbeing. Robert Winters & Fall's "Magic Man" is another masterful piece of music ( the underrated group does three more), and lest not forget "What Am I Guilty Of," performed by the New Cymbals (formerly Lee Williams & the Cymbals). The 21 songss also include memorable sides from the Continental Four, the Carstairs, Richmond International, Reggie Sadler, Silk, and 9th Creation. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
