    All Music Guide Review

    Grand Central, the home of Rae & Christian and Aim, has plenty more on tap than just those two for listeners with an interest in forward-looking hip-hop and dance musc. With this compilation of the same name, half wrap-up and half look to the future, Mark Rae compiled some rare tracks and a few exclusives. Most impressive of the new offerings are the two by Funky Fresh Few, a group of old-school-slanted rappers with a great sound on "Clean Up" that's half ESG and half Treacherous Three. Brooklynite Niko has a great mic feature as well, taking no shorts with her direct flow and no-nonsense delivery. Rae himself contributes two tracks: a distorted-drum-machine piece with an excellent groove named "Make No Mistake" and a remix of "Lavish." ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
