    All Music Guide Review

    Each volume of Thump's Lowrider Soundtracks contain 15 cuts of bass-heavy, groove-dominated hip-hop. Each of the songs have heavy bass grooves and minimal hooks, and while nothing in particular stands out on any of the volumes, it's still an entertaining series. Among the highlights on Vol. 9 are Capone's "Can I Kick It," Lawless' "Bed Drama," 20-20's "For the Gangstas," the Sleeze Boyz' "Robocop," Krazy Klock's "Get Out There!," La Clika's "Late Night Creep" and Mr. X's "Lowrider." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
