    Cosmic Funk is an entertaining sampler of late-'70s and early-'80s synth-driven, bass-heavy funk classics like Funkadelic's "One Nation under A Groove," Cameo's "She's Strange," Rick James' "Cold Blooded," the Bar-Kays' "Freakshow on the Dance Floor," the Mary Jane Girls' "All Night Long" and Bootsy Collins' "Bootzilla." It's not a perfect collection and it's little more than a sampler, but it's fun nevertheless. ~ Leo Stanley, All Music Guide
