A traditional-style, 12-song concept album of gospel remakes of pop and gospel songs such as Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Sam & Dave's "Hold On, I'm Comin'." The other remakes include new versions of early gospel favorites such as the Harmonettes' "Old Landmark" and "I Will Trust in the Lord." Candi Staton also remakes her 1987 gospel hit "The First Face I Want to See" with raspy-voiced Joe Ligon of the legendary Mighty Clouds of Joy.
