While not necessarily the most groundbreaking soundtrack ever to hit the hip-hop market, Malibu's Most Wanted does display some strong points. First, the producers have somehow mustered up the ability to make comedian Jamie Kennedy sound better than half the Dirty South MCs out there. While this might strike some people as blasphemous, keep in mind there are a lot of bad MCs in the game today. Second, there's a Snoop Dogg track on here that's just as good as anything he's released in the past few years, and our man Jamie Kennedy is in the fold holding his own. There are some other strong appearances by a bunch of up-and-comers and a special guest appearance by Master P, but overall this is one for completists and those who have a certain curiosity to hear Jamie Kennedy rap with Snoop Dogg. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
