The success of Panjabi MC's single "Mundian to Bach Ke" may be the reason that so many Asian electronica compilations have started to appear, but the good news is there's still plenty of great music to discover. Indestructible Asian Beats 2 divides its selections between the trippy dub practiced by the likes of Asian Dub Foundation (who is included here) and the more upbeat combination of traditional Punjabi party music and big beat. The more laid back grooves are allowed to stretch out with their full versions included and a few alternate remixes add some desirability. Panjabi MC's grooving contribution shows he's more than a one-hit wonder and Recycler's ultra-hypnotic "Sensi and Foxy" is essential. A couple of lesser "Mudian" wannabes are included but, fortunately, the good outweighs the bland. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
