    Best of R&B, Vol. 2 follows the same scheme as the first volume. There are six discs -- two of which are pointless, space-eating DJ mixes -- and none of them are filled anywhere near to capacity, with the four non-mix discs containing 11 songs each. It's a good way to obtain a large number of R&B and hip-hop singles released during the '90s, but there is no attempt at providing a definitive compilation; many of the singles here are second-tier at best. Highlights include SWV's "Right Here," Aaliyah's "Back and Forth," Lil' Kim's "Not Tonight," Dave Hollister's "The Weekend," Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison," and Bobby Brown's "Humpin' Around." ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
