    All Music Guide Review

This brief collection of dancehall tracks, released by Motown Records (yes, THAT Motown Records), shows the subtle adaptability of the genre, with hard rapping ragga-style pieces from Elephant Man ("No Way") and Sizzla ("We Don't Care"); a pair of sweet, conscious political meditations from Yami Bolo ("World Wide Pollution," "World Peace"); and Wayne Wonder's marvelous pop gem, the throbbing and pulsing "No Letting Go." There's nothing particularly Motown about this disc, so don't expect reggae versions of The Funk Brothers' rhythms or anything like that, but as a sampler of straight-up contemporary Jamaican dancehall, it has enough variety to keep things fresh and vibrant. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
