After appearing on several other records in guest appearances, a debut album from Boo & Gotti was inevitable. Highly courted for contracts by several major labels, the duo decided to sign with Cash Money to release Perfect Timing. It's an interesting concept to have a duo from Chicago releasing music on a label predominantly known for the Dirty South sound, but the combination works surprisingly well. While the lyrics and topic du jour present nothing new or noteworthy, the fusing of several different styles (East Coast, West Coast, and Dirty South) is a recipe that few people have come close to getting right.
