Submit Your ReviewIn 2003, Virgin released Angel's Egg (Radio Gnome Invisible, Pt. 2)/Shamal, which contained two albums -- Angel's Egg (1973, originally released on Virgin) and Shamal (1976, also originally on Virgin) -- by Gong in a two-CD set. It's an interesting -- and perhaps a bit disjointed -- pairing, since Angel's Egg is a strong recording by the Daevid Allen-led version of the band and Shamal is the first LP by the group (soon to be led by Pierre Moerlen) following Allen's departure. ~ Tim Sendra & Dave Lynch, All Music Guide
