A Reflection on Changing Times is a box set that collects four albums that Country Joe McDonald recorded for Vanguard Records between 1970 and 1973 at the start of his solo career. The set, released by the Italian label Akarma, includes the complete albums Tonight I'm Singing Just for You (recorded in Nashville), Hold on It's Coming (recorded in England and featuring Peter Green, Spencer Davis, and other British rockers), War War War (an album of folky antiwar songs), and Paris Sessions (featuring a melded band comprised of members of the Fish and Big Brother & the Holding Company). ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
