Each volume of Thump's Lowrider Soundtracks contain 15 cuts of bass-heavy, groove-dominated hip-hop. Each of the songs have heavy bass grooves and minimal hooks, and while nothing in particular stands out on any of the volumes, it's still an entertaining series. Among the highlights on Vol. 6 are MC Blvd's "Gangster and the Priest," Tommy Gun's "On Top of the World," Young Bucks' "I'm Pulling Girls," Egyptian Lover's "Egypt, Egypt," Freestyle's "It's Automatic," Unknown DJ's "Basstronic" and Spyder D's "Smerphies Dance." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
