All Music Guide Review
Old School Jams, Vol. 2 follows the precedent established by its predecessor and features a number of longtime dance favorites from the '70s and '80s. Though all of these songs retain much of their initial charm, with some even having grown more novel with age, this is a disparate collection, featuring a little bit of everything -- from late-'70s disco-funk like Slave's "Just a Touch of Love" to early-'80s electro-funk like Man Parrish's "Boogie Down Bronx." However, every song does retain an emphasis on funk -- some disco inflections, others more urban inflections. Other featured songs include Class Action's "Weekend," Loose Joints' "Is It All Over My Face?," and Lakeside's "Fantastic Voyage," in addition to several others. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
