Essentially a repackaged version of the group's 1999 Christmas album This Christmas, 20th Century Masters - Christmas Collection features 98°'s interpretations of traditional holiday tunes like "O Holy Night," "Ave Maria," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Silent Night," and "I'll Be Home for Christmas," as well as new Christmas songs like "This Gift," "If Every Day Could Be Christmas," and "Christmas Ain't the Same Without You." The group's smooth, low-key style is well suited to songs like "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire)," and though new songs like "Christmas Wish" don't have the nostalgic pull of the classics, this collection should please 98°'s fans regardless. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
