All Music Guide Review

These Animal Men are indeed a competent lot, all five of these songs recorded for the BBC are fun, but nowhere near as fun, or smart, or funny, as S*M*A*S*H, who are similar, but more outrageous and manic, making their Hut labelmates seem dull in comparison. Still, who cares if they wear Adidas track suits (that's fashion?!?!) or have names like "Hooligan" or "Boag?" They've got some of the seeds of the '79-'83 U.K. Subs in them, and if they stick to it, they could be real contenders.
