All Music Guide Review
Thankfully much more focused than the 80's Pop installment of the series, Oldies but Goodies: 80's Rock is a decent summary of hard rock hits from the 1980s, including the likes of Power Station's "Get It On (Bang a Gong)," Foreigner's "Jukebox Hero," Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell," Missing Persons' "Mental Hopscotch," Billy Squier's "The Stroke," and Poison's "Your Mama Don't Dance." This is still far too random to be considered a strong overview, but it should be helpful for those who are in need of at least a handful of the selections provided. One advantage this disc holds over some of its like-themed counterparts is that it includes quite a few songs that aren't worn out on a daily basis by radio stations across the U.S. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
