A collection of 1946-1952 recordings, Music Lessons With the Andrews Sisters includes none of the trio's war-era chart smashes, but for just that reason it actually functions well as a supplemental compilation for those wondering where to turn after the hits. Some of the titles have never appeared on CD before, and although most of the features are for the Andrews Sisters themselves, the disc also includes features for Patty Andrews as a solo act, including duets with Bing Crosby ("If I Were a Bell"), Dick Haymes ("I Ought to Know More About You"), and country star Red Foley ("Unless You're Free"). ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
