This is very early Sly & the Family Stone with dubious sound quality; from around 1963 to 1966 when the band was trying out all sorts of material including Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man," and Willie Dixon's "Seventh Son." This collection has been issued in all sorts of configurations. It's interesting in a strange sort of way. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
