This two-fer features a pair of out-of-print Martha & the Vandellas LPs, Ridin' High and Sugar n' Spice, both originally issued on Motown in 1968 and 1969. While no hit material was pulled from these albums, they do feature pleasant versions of adult contemporary favorites of the era, like "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me," "What Now My Love," and "To Sir, With Love." Also tacked on the end of the program are three bonus cuts, "I Can't Dance to That Music You're Playin'" and previously unreleased alternate versions of "Sweet Darlin'" and "I Promise to Wait My Love." ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
