All Music Guide Review
The "history of techno" according to ZYX includes -- not coincidentally -- many of the label's own tracks, resulting in many rather odd selections by Tyrell Corp., Klangwerk and Microwave Prince. Over the course of this four-disc set, however, there are several rave classics -- including D-Mob's "We Call It Acieed," L.A. Style's "James Brown Is Dead," Joey Beltram's "Energy Flash," Moby's "Go," and Wink's "Higher State of Consciousness," as well as self-titled tracks by LFO, Age of Love and Tricky Disco. Anyway, most of these are also available on better collections. ~ Keith Farley, All Music Guide
