The aptly named Rainy Day Classics collects two discs' worth of mellow, reflective classical favorites, including Chopin's "Prélude in D flat major, Op. 28/15 (Raindrops)"; Handel's "Concerto Grosso in C minor, Op. 6/8, HWV 326"; and Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 9 in E flat major 'Jeune Homme,' K. 271 II: Andante." Other highlights include Dvorák's "Symphony No. 8, in G major, Op. 88, 'English' II: Adagio"; Bach's "Suite No. 5 in C minor, BWV 1011, for Violoncello Sarabande"; and Bizet's "Symphony No. 1 in C major II: Adagio." Corelli, Stamitz, Bartholdy, and Albinoni are some of the other composers featured on this collection, which manages to be elegant, diverse, and relaxing at the same time. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
