Prelude's essential releases could probably be contained within four discs. That said, if your curiosity runs well beyond Martin Circus' "Disco Circus," D Train's "You're the One for Me," Musique's "In the Bush," and Sharon Redd's "Can You Handle It" -- just a few of the label's biggest highlights -- the six-volume Prelude's Greatest Hits series will be worth investing in. The fifth volume of the series runs deeper than most of the other installments, including the Bobby O-produced "Another Knife in My Back," by One Two Three, along with Wardell Piper's "Nobody (Can Take You Away From Me)," Michael Wilson's "Groove It to Your Body," and Conquest's "Give It to Me (If You Don't Mind)." As a service to disco fans, the tracks are usually provided in 12" mix format. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
