This Collectables CD reissues bandleader and alto saxophonist René Bloch's 1962 album Mr. Latin, originally released on Atco. Dominated by cha chas, pachangas, and Latin jazz, the highlights of these 12 tracks are four numbers written and arranged by Bloch's pianist, Alan Chaplin, including "Mr. Latin's Mambo," "Encanto," "Mambo Watusi," and "Baila Cha Cha."
