    The second in Globe Style's excellent worldwide series of international pop and folk, this 18-track collection takes in musical highlights from Cuba, Columbia, Serbia, Algeria, Thailand, Kenya, Sudan, and many other countries. On the high-profile end, the disc features inspired performances by Latin jazz giant Mongo Santamaria, Sudanese dance-band leader and oud master Abdel Gadir Salim, and Kenya's benga star, D. O. Misiani, and his Shirati Jazz band. Some of the most exciting cuts, though, come from the relatively obscure likes of Malinese praise singer Tata Bambo Kouyate, the Thai Mawlum-pop combo Isân Slete, and Columbia's accordion-wielding Moreño Brothers.
