A rather more listenable LP than the Brothers' first, Rude System acknowledges big beat and deep house, but for the most part sticks to the sound of the '70s, pulling in funk lines and a disco vibe for tracks like "Tuning Up" and "Streets Are Real." The Balearic moods on several tracks indicate the wide range of influences by the quartet, specifically the garage tilt of Rocky & Diesel, as well as Ashley Beedle's jazzier inclinations. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
