All Music Guide Review

Led by Peter Stuart, Dog's Eye View provides more of the alternative folk-rock that has made them cult faves in the indie rock scene. Stuart's heartfelt and deeply personal lyrics are at the forefront of Daisy. "The Trouble With Love" mixes autobiography with a catchy melody, while "Homecoming Parade" is a melancholy look at days gone by and opportunities lost. Stuart abandons introspection and takes a look around on "Hollywood," a savage criticism of an easy target: the shallowness of L.A. While Stuart's talent shines throughout Daisy, the rest of the members of Dog's Eye View have few outstanding moments. Perhaps the band's mediocrity was an intentional move to showcase Stuart's talent, and if that is the case, it certainly works. After listening to Daisy, listeners come away with the impression that Stuart's skills are so formidable, he may be best served by striking out on his own. ~ Jon Azpiri, All Music Guide
