    The second double-LP set that selects some of the tracks used by DJ Jazzy Jeff in his contribution to Defected's In the House series, this package focuses on funk, where the other focused on house. Again, most of these tracks are widely available, but it'll be convenient for DJs and those who don't have the resources to seek out all the original releases. Featured tracks include Cymande's "Bra," Bohannon's "Let's Start the Dance," Booker T. & the MG's' "Melting Pot," Barry White's "Your Sweetness Is My Weakness," and Kool & the Gang's "Open Sesame." All of these tracks are classics and should be in the hands of any self-respecting funk DJ. Jeff's endorsement should be more than enough enticement. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
