House of 909

Trevor Loveys' House of 909 project have been one of the champions of British deep house. This first full-length is a quasi-compilation, including tracks from the early EPs Future Soul Orchestra and Voices from Beyond as well as much new material. Highlights such as "Movin On" and "Distant Cry" echo their Chicago predecessors well, while the low production values prove quite a boon in a style of music jam-packed with productions polished to perfection but devoid of any soul. ~ John Bush, Rovi
