All Music Guide Review
Juice Newton's two most popular albums, 1981's Juice and 1982's Quiet Lies, are combined onto one CD on this Australian release. While not precisely the same thing as a best-of compilation, it does include no less than six of the seven Pop Top Forty hits she chalked up, those being "Angel of the Morning," "Queen of Hearts," "The Sweetest Thing (I've Ever Known)," "Love's Been a Little Hard on Me," "Break It to Me Gently," and "Heart of the Night." There are also historical liner notes and a bonus track, the non-LP 1978 single "It's a Heartache"; this was her first pop chart entry (albeit at a lowly number 86), though Bonnie Tyler would end up having the bigger hit by far with the same song. For Newton's more pop-oriented fans who want something more than a greatest-hits collection, this is a well-assembled big bang-for-the-bucks package. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
