Like its film counterpart, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation offers more of what made the first Mortal Kombat a hit -- namely, loud, intense techno, metal and punk, all remixed to have one relentlessly throbbing beat. In this context, it's hard to tell the differences between KMFDM, Megadeth, Face to Face, Juno Reactor, Rammstein, Psykosonik, MANbreak, the Future Sound of London or Pitchshifter, but that doesn't really matter -- if you became hooked on the Immortals' insanely stupid, brutally minimal "Theme From Mortal Kombat," chances are you'll like the rest of this record, even though it isn't as consistent as its predecessor. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
