All Music Guide Review
Sony 's Fizz Pop Modern Rock, Vol. 1 features ten tracks of eclectic post punk/new wave/pop/rock giddiness. That said, a ten cut collection is pretty standard for "budget compilations", but when those selections include great over-looked gems like "Teacher, Teacher" by Rockpile and "Never Say Never" from Romeo Void, classic 80's tunes like "99 Luftballoons" (Nena) and "Goody Two Shoes" (Adam & the Ants) and a couple of AOR rock standards such as the Romantics "What I Like About You" and Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch Me? (Oh Yeah!)," a couple of bucks go a long way. ~ James Christopher Monger ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
