Submit Your ReviewMeet the Covers: A Tribute to Beatles collects 14 covers of Beatles songs, including both hit singles (Richie Havens' "Here Comes the Sun," Wilson Pickett's "Hey Jude," Earth, Wind & Fire's "Got to Get You Into My Life") to cult favorites (Flamin' Groovies' "There's a Place," Siouxsie & the Banshees' "Dear Prudence," Nils Lofgren's "Any Time at All"). It's an uneven listen, to be sure -- Ike & Tina Turner ("Come Together"), Todd Rundgren ("Rain"), LIttle Richard ("I Saw Her Standing There"), Nilsson ("You Can't Do That"), the Grass Roots ("You've Got to Hide Your Love Away") and Breakfast Club ("Drive My Car") don't necessarily make for good bedfellows -- but it's an entertaining collection, especially for Fab Four fanatics. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
