Submit Your ReviewCurtis Mayfield wore a lot of hats throughout his career, and whether he was a singer, arranger, producer, songwriter, guitarist, bandleader, or label head, he always delivered quality and provided it with a strong moral center. This two-disc, 30-track set has a little bit of everything, from soundtrack versions of "Superfly," "Freddie's Dead," and "Pusherman" to his wonderful single version of "So in Love" and a live performance of the brilliant "Back to the World," among other treats, and if the selections seem a little random, it hardly matters. This is late-era Curtis Mayfield being, well, Curtis Mayfield. That's a good thing. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
