A bargain release if there ever was one. Celebrating ten years of the Greentrax label, this album compiles 36 tracks (12 of which, I kid you not, are titled "Set of Tunes") that fit just about every variation on Scottish music that can be found, from traditional piping and drumming all the way to sampler-laden ethereal variations that feel like mist on the Highlands. A few of the names on display here will be familiar (Jean Redpath, Brian McNeill, Alastair McDonald, Ceolbeg), but many more will be new to more than a few listeners -- presenting, of course, a temptation to spend money and acquire more, because these artists are excellent. ~ Steven McDonald, All Music Guide
