    All Music Guide Review

Easyriders, Vol. 5 is yet another installment in the compilation series sponsored by the biker magazine of the title featuring mostly classic rock radio staples -- this time out, there's Autograph's "Turn Up the Radio," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "What's Your Name," Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper," and Styx's "Lady," for example, plus a few '80s pop-metal tunes (Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It," Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly") and a few good songs that seem a little out of place in this self-consciously ass-kicking format (the Romantics' "What I Like About You," Lou Reed's solo version of "Sweet Jane," the Guess Who's "These Eyes"). The assessment for the rest of the series holds true for this volume as well -- it's a solid assortment of tracks that won't disappoint anyone who simply wants them all in one place or who wants them on a CD featuring a blonde cover model astride a motorcycle wearing a black leather bustier, mini-skirt, and boots. (Like the other installments, Easyriders, Vol. 5 was also released with a cover photo featuring only the motorcycle, and not the scantily clad model.) ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
