A collection of pop songs and incidental music used in the romantic fantasy film, the soundtrack to Ghost is a haphazard affair. Certainly "Unchained Medley," which is featured so prominently in the film, is a joy, as are some of the instrumental incidental pieces, but the whole album doesn't make for a cohesive listening experience. [The 2005 Silver Screen Edition added an interview with composer Marice Jarre, as well as extensive liner notes explaining the motivations behind the film and its music.] ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
