All Music Guide Review

John B's debut album, a two-disc set subtitled "Organic" and "Synthetic," leaves few trails untaken. The 19-year-old junglist maintains a somewhat jazzy vibe on the Organic disc (with several tracks virtually identical to mainstream hard bop), but explores the fine lines of trance and darkstep with occasional downtempo passages on the second disc. The result is an album which alternates graceful productions in a well-heeled form with experiments upon the outer edge of drum'n'bass. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
