All Music Guide Review
In 1998 the Simitar label, a division of Warner Special Products, released several budget-priced discs featuring number one hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, loosely based around such themes as Lovin' Feelings, Party Time and Smooth Love. Each disc presents the original version of these popular singles on a 16-track CD. Number Ones: Rock It Up highlights include "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" (Bachman-Turner Overdrive), "Two Tickets to Paradise" (Eddie Money), "Freeze-Frame" (J. Geils Band) and "Mony Mony" (Billy Idol). Despite minor packaging flaws, Simitar's Number Ones is a decent budget-line series. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
